Abstract

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and creative Farmer to take charge of our agricultural production. This role has immense freedom, from managing vegetable gardens to planting orchards and raising livestock. We offer flexible models: work as a resident for free rent, build your own business by selling produce, and for long-term partners, a path to co-ownership of the land itself.

At ColivingLiguria, our extensive outdoor spaces are managed by three distinct, synergistic roles:

  1. Gardener: Focuses on the aesthetic and leisure gardens around the houses.
  2. Woodland Steward: Manages our wild forests for creative projects and sustainable resources.
  3. Farmer (This Role): Focuses on production—growing food, managing livestock, and creating agricultural value from our lands.

The Vision: Your Farm, Your Creativity

This role requires a high degree of creativity and autonomy. You will largely decide what to do and how to do it. You will set your own goals, in dialogue with the project’s needs.

Your “fields” are varied and full of potential:

  • Vegetable Gardens: Start with the existing orticello (small garden) at Casa del Forno and expand into new plots, like the large garden at Casa del Noce.
  • Agricultural Land: The flat, streamside plots of Terreni oltre Torrente are perfect for larger-scale cultivation of vegetables or other crops.
  • Forests & Orchards: Our woodlands (Terreni Lungotorrente, etc.) are ideal for planting fruit and nut trees or for sustainable firewood harvesting.
  • Livestock: We are especially interested in proposals that involve raising livestock. We have the space and are excited to support a partner willing to manage this long-term.

Synergies & Support

  • The Cook: You will work in close synergy with our future Cook to supply the Coliving kitchen with fresh, on-site produce.
  • Regulations: For any project (especially livestock), you must adhere to local regulations. The founder, Simone Testino, will personally assist with all bureaucratic matters and translate all necessary rules into English to be consulted on this site, so we can develop the project together.

Compensation & Business Models

We offer multiple, flexible pathways for this role:

  1. Core Resident Model: You can live at Ville Chiappella with free or heavily reduced rent, managing the farm as your primary contribution to the community under a Contract for Residents.
  2. Independent Business (Model A): Use your own VAT number (Partita IVA). You can earn income by:
    • Selling produce to residents or local markets.
    • Creating internal agreements and synergies (e.g., selling directly to the Cook’s budget).
  3. Long-Term Equity (In Addition): For individuals who commit to a long-term plan (especially for livestock or perennial crops), we offer a path to co-ownership of the agricultural lands you manage.

Ownership of Products: The ownership of the crops and livestock is also flexible. Depending on the contract we stipulate together, they can be 100% yours (if you run an independent business) or shared between you and ColivingLiguria.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Highly creative, autonomous, and self-motivated.
  • Experienced in agriculture, permaculture, or livestock management.
  • We strongly prefer candidates with long-term plans, especially those involving livestock.
  • A collaborative spirit, excited to work with the Cook and other land managers.
  • Prepared for the rustic, in-progress renovation environment at Ville Chiappella.
  • English is required; Italian is a plus.

Stiamo cercando un Agricoltore (Farmer) imprenditoriale e creativo che si faccia carico della nostra produzione agricola. Questo ruolo ha un’immensa libertà, dalla gestione degli orti alla piantumazione di frutteti e all’allevamento di bestiame. Offriamo modelli flessibili: lavora come residente in cambio di affitto gratuito, costruisci la tua attività vendendo i prodotti e, per i partner a lungo termine, un percorso verso la comproprietà dei terreni stessi.

A ColivingLiguria, i nostri ampi spazi esterni sono gestiti da tre ruoli distinti e sinergici:

  1. Gardener: Si concentra sui giardini estetici e ricreativi intorno alle case.
  2. Woodland Steward: Gestisce i nostri boschi selvaggi per progetti creativi e risorse sostenibili.
  3. Farmer (Questo Ruolo): Si concentra sulla produzione: coltivare cibo, gestire bestiame e creare valore agricolo dalle nostre terre.

La Visione: La Tua Fattoria, La Tua Creatività

Questo ruolo richiede un alto grado di creatività e autonomia. Sarai in gran parte tu a decidere cosa fare e come farlo. Stabilirai i tuoi obiettivi, in dialogo con le esigenze del progetto.

I tuoi “campi” sono vari e pieni di potenziale:

  • Orti: Inizia con l’esistente orticello presso Casa del Forno ed espanditi in nuovi appezzamenti, come il grande giardino di Casa del Noce.
  • Terreni Agricoli: Gli appezzamenti pianeggianti e rivieraschi di Terreni oltre Torrente sono perfetti per la coltivazione su scala più ampia di ortaggi o altre colture.
  • Boschi e Frutteti: I nostri boschi (Terreni Lungotorrente, ecc.) sono ideali per piantare alberi da frutto e noci, o per la raccolta sostenibile di legna da ardere.
  • Bestiame: Siamo particolarmente interessati a proposte che includano l’allevamento di bestiame. Abbiamo lo spazio e siamo entusiasti di supportare un partner disposto a gestire questo progetto a lungo termine.

Sinergie e Supporto

  • Il Cook: Lavorerai in stretta sinergia con il nostro futuro Cook per rifornire la cucina del Coliving con prodotti freschi e a km 0.
  • Regolamenti: Per qualsiasi progetto (specialmente per il bestiame), è necessario aderire ai regolamenti locali. Il fondatore, Simone Testino, assisterà personalmente in tutte le questioni burocratiche e tradurrà tutte le norme necessarie in inglese affinché possano essere consultate su questo sito, in modo da poter sviluppare il progetto insieme.

Retribuzione e Modelli di Business

Offriamo percorsi multipli e flessibili per questo ruolo:

  1. Modello Residente Principale: Puoi vivere a Ville Chiappella con affitto gratuito o fortemente ridotto, gestendo la fattoria come tuo contributo principale alla comunità, tramite un Contract for Residents.
  2. Business Indipendente (Modello A): Usa la tua Partita IVA. Puoi generare un reddito:
    • Vendendo i prodotti ai residenti o ai mercati locali.
    • Creando accordi e sinergie interne (ad es. vendendo direttamente al budget del Cook).
  3. Proprietà a Lungo Termine (In Aggiunta): Per gli individui che si impegnano in un piano a lungo termine (specialmente per bestiame o colture perenni), offriamo un percorso verso la comproprietà dei terreni agricoli che gestisci.

Proprietà dei Prodotti: Anche la proprietà del bestiame e dei prodotti è flessibile. A seconda del contratto che stipuleremo insieme, potrà essere al 100% tua (se gestisci un’attività indipendente) o condivisa tra te e ColivingLiguria.

Il Candidato Ideale

  • Altamente creativo, autonomo e auto-motivato.
  • Esperto in agricoltura, permacultura o gestione del bestiame.
  • Preferiamo fortemente candidati con piani a lungo termine, specialmente quelli che coinvolgono il bestiame.
  • Uno spirito collaborativo, entusiasta di lavorare con il Cook e gli altri gestori del territorio.
  • Preparato all’ambiente rustico e in piena ristrutturazione di Ville Chiappella.
  • È richiesto l’inglese; l’italiano è un vantaggio.
