This page serves as the main portal for internship opportunities at our two companies: ColivingLiguria and Luna. We offer high-level, research-based traineeships for students seeking academic credits. Below, we outline the diverse fields of study available at each entity and guide you to the correct application process.

Our Two-Company Internship Ecosystem

We host curricular traineeships across two distinct, founder-led companies. This structure allows us to offer a uniquely broad spectrum of opportunities, from community and land management to applied physics and engineering.

  • ColivingLiguria: This is our hospitality, community, and land-management venture. Internships here are broad, covering topics like software, architecture, agriculture, hospitality, and event management.
  • Luna: This is our deep-tech manufacturing startup, developing innovative, patented lighting solutions. Internships here are strictly STEM-focused, dealing with applied physics, material science, and mechatronics.

Internship Fields at ColivingLiguria

The best way to understand our needs is to explore our operational structure. Our work is organised into specialised units, and you can propose an internship or thesis project within any of them. You can see the full structure, including the competent people leading each section, on our Team page.

We are particularly interested in students for the following fields:

  • Software & Data: Collaborate with our existing team (e.g., Shreshth Kapai) on developing the custom software suite that runs our project. This involves databases, administration tools, and marketing automation.
  • Architecture & Design: Assist in planning the renovation, interior design, and aesthetic vision for our historic properties. (Note: This team page is currently under development but will be a key area).
  • Agriculture & Nature: Develop projects related to permaculture, sustainable farming (see our Openings), or natural trail design on our land.
  • Hospitality & Event Management: Work with our Event Organisation Team on the logistics, planning, and execution of community events and workshops.
  • Other Teams: We also have needs within our Marketing & Social and Construction Team.

Internship Fields at Luna

Luna is a high-tech project focused on applied science and engineering. This is an ideal environment for a challenging scientific or engineering thesis. We are looking for students with a background in:

  • Physics & Optics: Core to the project is the modelling and application of light.
  • Material Sciences: Researching advanced polymers, plastics, and textiles for the main structure.
  • Engineering: Fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and 3D modelling.
  • Software Team|Software & Robotics: Developing the physical simulation models (Python) and the onboard mechatronic/robotic control systems.

Propose Your Own Thesis or Research Project

We actively encourage students to bring their own ideas. If you have a specific thesis topic or research project that aligns with our goals—even if it’s not listed here—you can propose it.

All proposals are reviewed by the founder, Simone Testino, to ensure they fit within the scope of our ventures.

  • ColivingLiguria: Questa è la nostra impresa di ospitalità, comunità e gestione del territorio. I tirocini qui sono ampi e coprono temi come software, architettura, agricoltura, ospitalità e gestione di eventi.
  • Luna: Questa è la nostra startup manifatturiera deep-tech, che sviluppa soluzioni di illuminazione innovative e brevettate. I tirocini qui sono strettamente focalizzati sulle materie STEM, occupandosi di fisica applicata, scienza dei materiali e meccatronica.

Siamo particolarmente interessati a studenti nei seguenti campi:

  • Software & Dati: Collabora con il nostro team esistente (ad es. Shreshth Kapai) allo sviluppo della suite software personalizzata che gestisce il nostro progetto. Ciò include database, strumenti di amministrazione e automazione del marketing.

Ambiti di Tirocinio in Luna

Luna è un progetto high-tech focalizzato sulla scienza applicata e sull’ingegneria. Questo è un ambiente ideale per una tesi scientifica o ingegneristica di alto livello. Cerchiamo studenti con un background in:

  • Fisica & Ottica: Fondamentale per il progetto è la modellazione e l’applicazione della luce.
  • Scienza dei Materiali: Ricerca su polimeri avanzati, plastiche e tessuti per la struttura principale.
  • Ingegneria: Fluidodinamica, termodinamica e modellazione 3D.
  • Software & Robotica: Sviluppo di modelli di simulazione fisica (Python) e dei sistemi di controllo meccatronici/robotici di bordo.
